Compare and Restore Configuration
Use Compare to prove what changed. If an approved value must be restored, build a selective plan and complete preflight before anyone can approve or apply it.
Compare Two Snapshots
Choose two saved snapshots when you need a bounded before-and-after view of a change window.
- Open the Compare tab.
- Choose the earlier snapshot in Snapshot A.
- Choose the later snapshot in Snapshot B.
- Select Compare.
- Review the Added, Modified, and Removed totals.
- Filter by object type, change kind, risk, actor confidence, or search text.
- Expand a row to inspect readable or raw field differences.
Use Export CSV when a reviewer needs the filtered result outside the application. Use the evidence bundle when the complete comparison context must be retained.
Compare a Snapshot to Live CUCM
Choose Live CUCM as the second comparison source to check the current live mirror against a known snapshot.
- Choose the approved baseline or another reference snapshot in Snapshot A.
- Choose Live CUCM in Snapshot B.
- Select Compare.
- Check Live Mirror Status before interpreting the differences.
If the mirror is stale or down, refresh or repair synchronization before treating the comparison as the current CUCM state.
Start a Selective Restore Plan
From a two-snapshot comparison, select Revert this drift on the object you want to review. Configuration Intelligence opens Restore Configuration with the earlier snapshot selected as the desired source and highlights the chosen object.
- Confirm the source snapshot.
- Select Build Restore Plan.
- Review each proposed update, reference, conflict, and field group.
- Select only the objects and field groups you intend to restore.
- Confirm that destructive actions are not selected automatically.
- Select View SOAP (Pre-flight).
Understand the Safety Gates
Configuration Intelligence separates planning from execution:
- Building a plan does not change CUCM.
- Destructive actions require explicit selection.
- Approve Plan stays unavailable until the current selection passes a clean preflight.
- Preflight shows the SOAP operation that would be sent without applying it.
- Applying the approved plan is a separate operator action.
Configuration Intelligence does not provide a one-click undo. If you must recover after an applied plan, build a new plan from the pre-change snapshot and complete the same review, preflight, approval, and apply steps.
After the investigation is complete, generate an evidence package and confirm which object types are covered.
